The 2024 Women's Asia Cup is the biggest so far with eight teams competing this time in the T20 format as against seven in the 2022 edition. The teams have been divided into two groups. Defending champions India are in Group A alongside Nepal, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while hosts Sri Lanka are with Bangladesh, Malaysia and Thailand in Group B. Every team will play the other three in their respective group once, and the top two from each qualify for the semi-finals.
