Belgium beat England 8-2 in the last match of the Hangzhou leg to finish the stage in second place with seven points from four games. Hosts China finished the leg on top of the table with eight points, while England are third with three points.

Belgium's Vanessa Blockmans and Charlotte Englebert are the joint top-scorers currently with three goals apiece. We could, however see a new leader once the Argentina stage begins as Belgium will not be competing there.

Hosts Argentina will be joined by Germany and Netherlands as the three nations play each other twice in a round-robin format. This will be the last we will see of the Women's Pro League this year, and the caravan will then shift to the much-awaited Hockey India League, which starts on January 12.

The nine-team Women's FIH Pro League will resume next year in Sydney in February, followed by legs in Argentina and Bhubaneswar (India) in the same month. The 2024-25 season will conclude on June 29 with matches in Antwerp, Belgium and Berlin, Germany.

The winners of the league will receive a direct ticket to the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup which will be held in the Netherlands and Belgium, while the team finishing last will be replaced by the winners of the FIH Hockey Nations Cup in the next season.
