As part of its “Goa Beyond Beaches” initiative, the state of Goa is highlighting the diverse and sustainable tourism opportunities within its hinterlands for explorers. It is hoped that by focusing on practices that contribute to wildlife conservation, the preservation of local flora, and the promotion of spiritual and religious tourism, tourists to this western state will learn about the ecological balance of the region and help to preserve it.
