The opening day of the Hockey India League 2024-25 player auction in New Delhi proved to be a successful one for Indian players, particularly for Harmanpreet Singh, who emerged as the most expensive player, fetching INR 78 lakh. The Indian captain was secured by Soorma Hockey Club, making a significant impact on the auction. All eight franchises were keen to invest in core players from the Indian men's hockey team, leading to competitive bids. Following Harmanpreet, Abhishek was the second-most expensive buy, joining Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers for INR 72 lakh, while Hardik Singh was acquired by UP Rudras for INR 70 lakh, get all the details right here
