The win also marked India's tenth win on the trot as well as their seventh bilateral series victory at home.

India, batted first earlier on, and posted their highest T20I total - a massive 297, thanks to Sanju Samson (111), Suryakumar Yadav (75), Hardik Pandya (47), and Riyan Parag (34).

While for Bangladesh, all bowlers had a day to forget with everyone going at a rate of over 11 runs per over.

Coming to the Bangladesh chase, the visitors never got going, losing wickets at regular intervals.

A small partnership between Litton Das (42) and Towhid Hridoy (63), despite got getting them back into the game, showcased a bit of fight from the Tigers, eventually losing the game by 133 runs.

Earlier in the day, India skipper Suryakumar Yadav called it right at the toss and has opted to bat first in the third and final T20I against Bangladesh at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Explaining why he chose to bat, Suryakumar Yadav said: "We would like to bat firsst, looks a good wicket. These are the things we want to do. Set a target and defend the total with dew around. I think it's important to continue with the good habits, it will have a good impact on us. We just want to give freedom, the guys want to make an impact. Happy with the way the guys are playing. Arshdeep misses out, Bishnoi comes in."

His opposing number Najmul Shanto said: "I am happy to bowl first, toss doesn't matter. We have two changes. Tamim and Mahedi are in. We need to take responsibilities as batters. We need to improve, need to execute our plans. Hopefully we do something special in the 40 overs."
