Swifties are excited to see and participate in the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film experience. According to Deadline, the presale frenzy for the concert film has surpassed $65 million, potentially leading to a spectacular $100 million box office start.
This total, which comes a month before its October 13 release, already outperforms the advance ticket sales of other mega-superhero films such as “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” ($60M) and “The Batman” ($42M). Those figures were compiled soon before the various films' release dates. The Eras Tour is still trailing the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” pandemic pre-sales record of $120 million before its opening day.

According to Deadline, a $100 million opening for The Eras Tour would not surprise many distributors. The question is how early the film will be released, considering the tendency of female viewers to arrive in large groups for early showings. Will there be repeat business, as with Barbie? Still, a gross of more than $70 million for this concert video would be astounding. Already, the Swifties are on track to outperform past concert films such as Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert ($65.2M in 2008), Justin Bieber: Never Say Never ($73M in 2011), and Michael Jackson's This Is It ($72M in 2009).

Several studios have seen a Marvel-sized tsunami at the fall box office and have moved out of the way of the AMC-distributed concert film, which begins previews on October 12. The Eras Tour will perform four weekends in a row (no weekdays), including Tuesday, Halloween night. Any competing films that lose weekend showtimes hope to make up for it during the week when Swift is not on the screen.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is a 2-hour and 45-minute film which will begin on October 13 that will be shown at least four times a day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at every AMC location in the United States, as well as other movie theater chains in Canada and Mexico. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Tickets are already on sale.
