Bhumika Chawla rose to prominence after starring opposite Salman Khan in the 2003 film ‘Tere Naam’, which was helmed by the late Satish Kaushik. However, she recently admitted that they aren’t the best of friends. But despite that, she starred in Salman’s latest film, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, which features a large ensemble.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Bhumika was asked if her quiet personality and the idea to not socialise during film shoots affected her career. To which she said that she believes in destiny, and the only project she regrets losing out on is ‘Jab We Met’.

Bhumika said, “No. He told me that I used to come and say ‘good morning’ and then it was directly ‘good night’. He said this during the trailer launch… I was so busy reading my books, and I was quiet in my own zone, and maybe that’s why we weren’t able to connect beyond a point.”?

Bhumika was also reminded that most of Salman's co-stars often gush over him, and she said, “Once, he hosted a party in Hyderabad during Tere Naam. I went, but I excused myself by 11 pm. On this film I also went a couple of times, but that’s it.” Asked if it has worked negatively for her, she quipped, “It’s possible. But I don’t think so, because I believe in destiny. If it’s written in your destiny, nobody can stop you, and if it isn’t, then it doesn’t matter how much you party, you still won’t get work.”

‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, despite opening to negative reviews, has made more than Rs 130 crore worldwide in five days. Bhumika described ‘KKBKKJ’ as a ‘mass’ film designed for Salman’s die-hard fans.
