Actor Avinash Tiwary made his debut in Bollywood with?'Tu Hai Mera Sunday' in 2016. But it was with Imtiaz Ali's 'Laila Majnu', through which audiences recognised him. Though the movie was under-watched, Avinash was lauded for his performance. Post that he tried different genres and enticed us with his brilliance in acting be it in 'Ghost Stories', 'The Girl On The Train', or 'Bulbbul'.?In 2022, he made his OTT debut with Neeraj Pandey's 'Khakee: The Bihar Chapter' where he played a baddie. He did his part convincingly and was very much appreciated for his acting prowess. Over these years, Avinash has left an?indelible?impact?and greatly evolved as an artiste. He is currently on a roll and there are a few interesting projects lined up for him. 'Kaala' and 'Bambai Meri Jaan' are all set to release this month.?

Outlook India recently had a freewheeling conversation with Avinash where he opened up on getting an opportunity to play protagonist?in several big projects despite being an outsider.

Tiwary said that it was not easy for him to be in the place where he is today?but his perseverance helped him to achieve that.?

He said, "I think the difficult part is waiting for this opportunity to come to you. That perseverance to stay for that long is the difficult part of it. Having said that, if you look at my career, if I ever complain in my life, I will be really unfair to myself and everyone?who stood by me. It starts from Balaji production to 'Ghost Stories' which is with Dharma Productions, then 'Bulbbul' is with Clean Slate Filmz, 'The Girl On The Train' is with Reliance, 'Khakee' is?with Neeraj Pandey, and 'Kaala' with T Series. These are all banners of the country and they all have given me an opportunity who is an outsider. They have all?given me an opportunity to go out there and explore myself as an actor and as a protagonist.''

He added, "Yes, it has been difficult to reach here but if I have, they all have given their hands pulled me up and given me this opportunity. If there is any complaint left in me, I would not be happy with myself. It would be extremely unfair to everyone who stood by me and supported me. I am really grateful that this opportunity has started flowing in my life. Some my doing because I have been?working hard and have earned credibility out of my work and secondly, these people have showed?lots of love for my work and I hope it continues in this process".?

Avinash is a versatile actor who has played different kinds of roles. Asked if it was ever difficult to break from one image to another, the handsome hunk said, ''I would like to believe all my work has been different and they are of different genres. So, when you say?I am breaking away from a certain image, I really don't see it like that. If you see it right from 'Laila Majnu' to 'Khakee', they were poles part anyway. Even if you see 'Bullbul', 'Ghost Stories', 'The Girl On The Train', all of them have been absolutely different. Rather than breaking an image the image that should come is that 'he is an extremely?versatile actor with a great range'.''

''I don't think I look forward to any kind of image because the kind of image I want to create is like as an audience we need to break through and say, 'I am bored of seeing this guy in the same way'. We should look forward to actors who are continuously experimenting and growing in their art form and craft. I hope that comes through and reaches out to you rather than me?trying and attempting to change my image,'' he said further.??
