India is hosting the 71st Miss World pageant after a 28-year-long gap in Mumbai tonight, on March 9, 2024. Contestants from 115 countries are competing against each other to win the crown. Last year's winner, Miss World 2022, Karolina Bielawska of Poland will be crowning her successor at the grand event at the Jio World Centre in BKC, Mumbai. From India, 22-year-old Sini Shetty, winner of Miss India World, is representing the nation at the competition.

Karan Johar and Former Miss World Megan Young are co-hosting the Miss World 2024 pageant. Artists like Shaan, Neha Kakkar, and Tony Kakkar are performing at the finale.

Kriti Sanon and Pooja Hegde, who are a part of the 12-member judge panel at the Miss World 2024 competition, reach Jio World Centre in Mumbai. 

The Miss World organisation has announced that Leticia Frota from Brazil has won the Beauty With A Purpose Award. She is the ambassador for the Hansen's Disease cause, both in her country and globally, and is known for her volunteer work in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the Amazon.

Axelle René of Martinique has bagged the Miss World Top Model Award.

At the Miss World finale, singer and songwriter Shaan performed his song 'Tu Aaj Ki Naari Hai'.

Miss World 2024 has announced its top 8 contestants, and India’s Sini Shetty is one of them. The other on the list include America - Leticia Frota (Brazil), Aché Abrahams (Trinidad and Tobago), Africa - Lesego Chombo (Botswana), Hannah Karema (Uganda), Europe - (Czech Republic), Jessica Ashley (England), and Yasmin Azaytoun (Lebanon).

Nita Ambani graced the red carpet with her stunning saree look at the 71st Miss World finale in Mumbai. At the event, she got honoured with the Beauty With A Purpose Humanitarian Award for her work at the Reliance Foundation. She was presented the award by Julia Morley CBE, the Chairwoman of the Miss World Organization.

While Aché Abrahams of Trinidad and Tobago won the Miss America and Caribbean title at the 71st Miss World 2024, Lesego Chombo of Botswana took home the Miss World Africa title.

Krystyna Pyszkova? of the Czech Republic bagged the Miss Europe title, while Yasmin Azaytoun of Lebanon won the Miss World Asia and Oceania title at the Miss World 2024 event.

India's Sini Shetty has not been able to make it to Top 4. Meanwhile, Krystyna Pyszkova? of Czech Republic, Yasmin Azaytoun of Lebanon, Aché Abrahams of Trinidad & Tobago, and Lesego Chombo of Botswana, are the Top 4 contestants of the 71st Miss World pageant.

Krystyna Pyszkova? of Czech Republic has been crowned as the 71st Miss World 2024. She has now succeeded Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska.
