After much anticipation, the trailer of ‘Guntur Kaaram’ is here. The film stars Mahesh Babu in a rowdy avatar. Fans are in love with this look of the actor. ‘Guntur Kaaram’ marks the third time Mahesh Babu and Trivikram?have come together for a film.

The 2:47 minute-long teaser opens with a shot of a press conference. The media is addressing a woman who has apparently left her older son. As the woman pulls the microphone to answer the question, the trailer moves to a shot of a red jeep tearing through a crowd of people. As the jeep pulls up, Mahesh Babu gets out of the jeep with a cigarette in his hand. The trailer progresses to show Mahesh Babu packing some punches. He is introduced as Ramana. The trailer also introduces the audience to Ramana’s love interest which is played by Sreeleela. From the looks of it, the trailer looks like a complete package.

Take a look at the trailer of ‘Guntur Kaaram’ here.

Speaking about the trailer, Mahesh Babu looks like he is struggling with the action sequences. It does not come across as natural. When you look closely, you can see that every move is calculated. The action sequence does not flow smoothly. Talking about the chemistry between Mahesh Babu and Sreeleela, something looks off. You cannot really place a finger on it but it looks forced.

Add to it, the conversation between Mahesh Babu and Sreeleela’s character is borderline lewd. He comments on her clothes and her body. The camera also moves suggestively. At one point, it is understandable that maybe it is that way because the hero is rowdy. But let’s be honest, it is time movies go beyond lewd dialogues masquerading as romantic banter.

However, if you want to watch the film only for Mahesh Babu, the trailer makes it look like the film will not disappoint.

Directed by Trivikram, ‘Guntur Kaaram’ is set to release in cinemas on January 12.
