Will Fix Accountability To Speed Up Govt Functioning: Dhami

The chief minister said Uttarakhand is progressing excellently and for this he also thanked the people for bringing the government back to power. He said people know who can take the state forward in the best way.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday said accountability will soon be fixed to speed up the functioning of the government and progress will be reviewed every month.

In a programme organised here on the occasion of completion of one year of his government, Dhami said the intention of the government is to speed up works so that they can be completed soon.

"In the past years we have done the work of laying the foundation stone and this year we are going to fix the accountability. We will review the work every month and move forward in a planned manner," he said.

"We will speed up and fulfill the dream of making the third decade of the 21st century of Uttarakhand on the back of the development done in the state under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," he said.

He said several projects like Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line, Alvedar road, Kedarnath reconstruction work, Delhi-Dehradun elevated road are going on at a fast pace in Uttarakhand.

The chief minister said Uttarakhand is progressing excellently and for this he also thanked the people for bringing the government back to power. He said people know who can take the state forward in the best way. He said, "It's not ours but the victory of the people."

He said he is constantly taking feedback from the public, for which he also goes for a morning walk. In Champawat, he said, he met a mother, who praised his work and blessed him to move forward.

He said the government has fulfilled the promises made to the public, including giving three cooking gas cylinders free of cost in a year to 1.76 lakh Antyodaya families.
?? ?The chief minister said his government had enacted a stringent law to stop religious conversions. Also, he said he constituted a committee to draft the Uniform Civil Code. He said the law will be brought as soon as the draft is prepared.
?? ?He said his government brought the country's strictest anti-copying law to prevent cheating in competitive examinations and has so far arrested 80 people in this case and sent them to jail.
?? ?Dhami also released the booklet 'Ek Saal Nai Misal' on the occasion.
