Rain Drenches Parts Of Delhi

The weather office forecast thunderstorms with rain during the day. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around the 26-degree-Celsius mark.

Heavy rain lashed Delhi on Monday, inundating roads and sending commuters scurrying for shelter. Heavy rainfall was reported from Lajpat Nagar, ITO, Lodhi Road, Lutyens' Delhi and Noida. The rain also led to waterlogging in some areas and slowed traffic to a crawl in stretches between Noida and Delhi, ITO and others.

Delhiites woke up to a pleasant morning on Monday with the minimum temperature settling at 19.6 degrees Celsius, six notches below the season's average. The relative humidity at 8.30 am was recorded at 87 per cent.
