Israel's War On Gaza: IAF C17 Aircraft Leaves With Humanitarian Aid From India For Palestinians

Currently, Rafah serves as the sole entry point for humanitarian aid into Gaza, but its full functionality has been hindered since the commencement of the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has announced that humanitarian aid from India for the people of Palestine for the second time left for the?El-Arish Airport in Egypt on Sunday.

Jaishankar on Sunday informed about the update on X, he wrote, "We continue to deliver humanitarian assistance to the people of Palestine."

Further detailing the aid sent from India, he wrote, "Second Indian Air Force C17 aircraft carrying 32 tonnes of aid departs for the El-Arish Airport in Egypt."

On October 22, India dispatched its initial aid shipment, comprising medical and disaster relief, to Palestine.

Currently, Rafah serves as the sole entry point for humanitarian aid into Gaza, but its full functionality has been hindered since the commencement of the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The war was triggered by Hamas' Oct. 7 attack in southern Israel, in which militants killed about 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and abducted some 240 others. Fifty-two Israeli soldiers have been killed.?

More than 11,500 Palestinians have been killed, according to Palestinian health authorities. Another 2,700 have been reported missing, believed buried under rubble. The count does not differentiate between civilians and combatants; Israel says it has killed thousands of militants.
