Drunk Flyer Arrested For Trying To Open Emergency Door Of IndiGo Flight

A 40-year-old passenger has been booked for allegedly attempting to open the emergency door of an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Bengaluru on Friday.?

According to an official statement from the airlines, "A passenger travelling on flight 6E 308 from Delhi to?Bengaluru?tried opening the flap of the emergency exit in an inebriated state."?

"On noticing this violation, the crew on board alerted the captain and the passenger was appropriately cautioned. There was no compromise on the safe operation of the said flight," the airlines further said.

Upon landing in Bengaluru, the passenger was handed over to CISF and further investigation is underway.

Since the year began, atleast three people have been arrested so far in?separate instances?of unruly behaviour on Indian flights. In one such shocking incident, a man?allegedly in an inebriated condition, had urinated on his co-passenger, a senior citizen in her seventies, in the business class of an Air India New York-Delhi flight on November 26 last year.

Surya,?was flying to Tiruchirapalli for the executive meeting of Tamil Nadu BJYM from Chennai along with state BJP chief K Annamalai,?caused a delay in the flight for over two hours after a strict security check of the door by engineers. However, he was allowed to fly in the same aircraft after issuing an "apology letter".
