I fear that they will curtail the reservation of scheduled castes and will give it to those who are not under the reservation category as per the constitution, at the direction of the Muslim League. Under the influence of the Muslim League, Congress wants to take away the rights of Dalit but as long as the BJP is there, it won't let it happen."

After the BJP released its poll manifesto, Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra on Sunday said, "...With what face BJP is releasing the manifesto. The promises they made in the last 10 years in the context of curbing inflation, improving economic policy or bringing black money; in Rajasthan, the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) was to be announced as a national project that didn't happen as well...Their promises are 'jumla.'"
Here are the key promises in BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' poll manifesto:
1. The BJP has said the elder citizens (aged above 70) and the transgender community will be brought under the ambit of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
2. The party has promised free ration will be continued for the next five years under PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
3. It has also said that it will build three crore houses, and work towards cheap pipeline gas availability for all households.
4 It has also promised free electricity to poor households under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
5. The BJP has also promised to enforce the Uniform Civil Code and One Nation-One Election.
6 BJP has also promised in its manifesto that it would make three crore women "Lakhpati Didis".
7. The party has also said specially abled people will now be given priority in the PM Housing Scheme, and special efforts will be made to ensure they get housing as per their special needs.
8. The BJP has said existing healthcare services aimed at the prevention and reduction of breast cancer, cervical cancer, anaemia, and osteoporosis, will be expanded, with focus on omitting cervical cancer.
9. It has also said the implementation of strict law to stop misconduct in recruitment examinations in the country.

They agreed on a lot of things and said that what all have not been done in the last 10 years, will be done now. However, there’s no new provision in BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ on MSP law, pricing of crops as per C2-50, and making farmers debt-free.”

Commenting on the party’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ poll manifesto, BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday said, “…This 'Sankalp Patra' is the fulfilment of people's aspirations...More than 15 lakh suggestions have come forward. In true meaning, it is the 'Sankalp Patra' of people, for the people and by the people, a roadmap has been constructed of how 2047 India will look like...."
In her reaction to BJP’s poll manifesto, Delhi Minister and AAP leader Atishi on Sunday said, “Youths are worried because of unemployment, the price of (LPG) cylinders has risen from Rs 300 to Rs 1200, diesel price has risen from Rs 55 to Rs 90. Every family is facing difficulty in meeting expenses. ‘Jumla Patra’ that has been released by BJP today, won’t be trusted by anyone now.”
In his reaction to BJP’s poll manifesto, Congress leader Manish Tewari on Sunday said, “...What people want to know is why the common man is reeling under the burden of inflation. What people want to know is the MNREGA budget, which is an indicator of rural distress, has gone up from 33,000 crores to almost 90,000 crores in the past 10 years. So there are real issues on the ground which are troubling people...The discontent on the ground is going to translate into an electoral defeat for the NDA-BJP..."
Reacting on the BJP's manifesto 'Sankalp Patra', Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sunday said, "The BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' for Lok Sabha elections 2024 is historic... This is a 'Sankalp Patra' with Modi's guarantee of building a 'Viksit Bharat'... Out of our three ideological issues, we have fulfilled two - abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu & Kashmir and building a grand temple of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. The Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has been promised in the 'Sankalp Patra'..."
Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, AAP MP Sanjay Singh on Sunday met Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi. After meeting Kharge, Singh said, “As LoP of Rajya Sabha, he (Mallikarjun Kharge) has been supportive of us, so I wanted to meet him after getting released from jail. During the meeting, several issues were discussed. We discussed the misuse of central agencies by the ruling (BJP) government. I also informed him of the ways Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is being treated in jail and how his rights are being snatched away. I put before him the proposal of a ‘common minimum programme’ to be taken to the public for the upcoming elections.”
In his reaction on BJP’s poll manifesto, NCP (SCP) national spokesperson Clyde Crasto on Sunday said, “Once again the BJP manifesto, like in the past, is making tall promises. They have not been able to fulfil their promises in the last 10 years of governance. Once again, tall promises have been made and it looks like they will not be able to fulfill them.”
In his reaction on BJP’s poll manifesto, Lok Janshakti Party president Chirag Paswan on Sunday said, "Modi ki Guarantee is the guarantee of fulfilment of every guarantee. We have experienced this in the past one decade...For decades we saw manifestos mentioning that Ram Temple would be built, Article 370 would be revoked and Women's Reservation Bill would be brought but all these were resolved by the PM. This builds credibility. Earlier, manifestos were just documents. Now, there is a guarantee that the promises would be fulfilled."

Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil on Sunday said, "If the Maratha reservation issue is not resolved in the coming months, I will once again go on a hunger strike from 4th June. We have been misled by the state government. Mahayuti has not given us Maratha reservation...When Maha Vikas Aghadi was in power, they did nothing for Maratha reservation."

During his address at a rally in Madhya Pradesh’s Hoshangabad, he said, “You are seeing the situation in the world... Everyone in the world is living under the shadow of fear. The world is trembling as to what will happen, what trouble will come. For such a world, a strong and powerful India is very important.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday targeted Congress during his rally in Madhya Pradesh’s Hoshangabad saying, “Now the royal family of Congress is threatening that if Modi becomes Prime Minister for the third time, the country will be on fire. During her address at a rally In Rajasthan’sJalore, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, "You were happy with Ashok Gehlot with some grievances and you changed the govt but what has happened to the schemes that he started for you? They were put at a halt, this is because the govt that you have chosen doesn't work in your interest... You must have heard what PM Modi says in his rallies, sometimes he shows his fake valour, sometimes he makes gas from the gutter, sometimes he talks about flesh and fish, sometimes he flies in the sky and sometimes goes deep into the ocean... Do you people have anything to do with these things?... I think something has happened to PM Modi, he isn't able to understand, when you assume such power, people fear to tell you the truth and I truly believe, that PM Modi is completely cut from the people."
Lok Janshakti Party national president Chirag Paswan reacted to the newly-launched BJP manifesto on Sunday, he said, "PM Modi in the last 10 years has put an end to several long-standing demands and burning issues in the country. This has increased people’s belief in him and has raised their expectations. Today’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ is the promise that will be fulfilled in the next five years."
Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Monday said that BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' is full of promises for the people of India. He told the media, "In the last 10 years, we did what we promised; and in the coming years, we will definitely deliver on what we have promised in our ‘Sankalp Patra’ released today. It is ‘Modi Guarantee’ to fulfill promises made to the people."
General Secretary of Communist Party of India (CPI) D Raja called the BJP manifesto 'Jumla Patra' and questioned the situation of the country under the BJP rule over the last 10 years.
He said, "This manifesto of BJP is nothing but another ‘Jumla manifesto'. This manifesto identifies four sections of the people - the poor, women, farmers, and youth. For the past 10 years, what are we witnessing? We are witnessing poor people becoming poorer, young people are facing uncertain futures due to unemployment, the women’s reservation is just on papers, and the farmers are fighting for MSP. Modi and this government have completely betrayed them."
Preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally in Karnataka's Mysuru on Sunday evening has begun as some of his supporters have started to arrive at the Maharaja College Ground. Several police personnel have been deployed to handle the large gathering.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday held a rally in Chhattisgarh's Khairagarh where he spoke about reservations and BJP's plans of ending naxalism in the state.
Shah said, "Give Narendra Modi a third term to ensure Naxalism is eliminated in Chhattisgarh in 3 years."

Congress candidate from Thiruvananthapuram and party's senior leader Shashi Tharoor shared his reaction to BJP's manifesto, said, "We need to know what's in it (Uniform Civil Code). The problem with the Modi government's promise is, that until there is a draft before the Parliament...it will be impossible to say whether it is a good thing or a bad thing...If this draft law is something that the other communities don't object to, we should have one. If it turns out something that causes serious concerns to some communities, then there needs to be a discussion."

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday wished the people of Assam on the occasion of Rongali Bihu. Addressing a gathering in Sonitpur he said, " After the Rongali Bihu celebration, the festival of democracy will begin on April 19. Earlier, Rongali Bihu was held in the sound of bullets, bomb blasts....but now Rongali Bihu has arrived in a peaceful environment, in the sound of Kuli, Keteki birds. This is the environment of development."
He also added, "PM Modi has brought peace, development to Assam. NDA will have to win all 14 seats in Assam."
Speaking of promises regarding education ahead of Lok Sabha elections, Sarma stated, "Our government will take responsibility for girls' education from Class XI upto post-graduation. We will give Rs 10,000 each to girl students for admission in Class XI and Rs 10,000 each in Class XII. We will give Rs 12,500 to each student for admission in UG and Rs 12,500 in the 2nd year, 3rd year of graduation also. We will also give Rs 25,000 to each girl student in PG admission."

He also said, "It is Modi's guarantee to the poor to build 3 crore houses, provide free ration for 5 years."
"The Modi guarantees will make lives of people of Karnataka and India better," he added.
"They (BJP) won't even win 100 seats on a level playing field," said RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav hours after BJP launched their Lok Sabha 2024 manifesto.
Manipur CM Biren Singh spoke about the three main issues that the state is facing and what the Central government can provide, he said, "The key issues of Manipur are mainly three. The Indigenous people have a demand that they want constitutional protection ... The PM and the Home Minister are doing a lot... The 398-km border along with Myanmar should be fenced, which is the demand of the people... Free Movement Regime, in which free movement is allowed within 16 kilometres, should be removed... Illegal migrants should be removed through NRC... The fencing has started. The FMR has been scrapped. The screening of illegal Myanmar migrants has started through biometrics and eye scanning... The people of Manipur would be happy with the decision of NRC..."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held a massive road show in this coastal city of Karnataka, waving at an enthusiastic large crowd along the route.
Standing on a specially designed vehicle, Modi greeted the people gathered on the sides of the roads and on nearby buildings, many of whom were seen chanting 'Modi, Modi', 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' slogans, amid loud cheers and sounds of drum beat, in what appeared to be a festive atmosphere in several places.

Congress announced 10 more candidates for Lok Sabha polls, has fielded J P Agarwal from Chandni Chowk, Kanhaiya Kumar from North East Delhi.
They have also fielded Punjab ex-CM Charanjit Singh Channi from Jalandhar-SC Lok Sabha seat and former MP Udit Raj from North West Delhi seat.
